Teacher Bible Study FAQ
WHEN DOES THE SUMMER TEACHER BIBLE STUDY START?
The first online meeting time for the Bible study is June 20th at 9:00 EST on FaceBook LIVE on the Teachers in the Word Facebook Page. We will discuss week one of Just James. You should complete the first week’s study by June 20th, therefore you should start by June 14th to stay on “track” with the group. Weekly YouTube videos should be watched prior to completing the week’s study on your own time or together with your group.
A typical study week will look like this:
- Weekly Teaching Video (Use the QR code links in your study)
- Complete Day 1
- Complete Day 2
- Complete Day 3
- Complete Day 4
- Complete Day 5
- Join us for the FB LIVE discussion for the previous week. (Optional)
We always take the week of July 4th off.
WHEN CAN I BUY THE JUST JAMES BIBLE STUDY?
May 4th, 2019 on Amazon and Teachers Pay Teachers
WHAT IF I STARTED #FRUITED LATE?
Just James can be completed at any time. If you started late, no worries! Go at your own pace and enjoy your time in the word. We would like to invite you to join our weekly discussions on Facebook. If you don’t want the teaser for the coming information, you can always watch the discussion videos at a later date. We would encourage you to invite a friend along in your journey through Just James. It is always more fun to complete a Bible study together with someone who is walking through the same journey.
DO YOU HAVE DEVOTIONALS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR?
We lead weekly devotions on Instagram stories periodically throughout the week. Bethany and Bonnie alternate between weeks to lead you in a shorter devotional. We randomly hop on FB LIVE in the Teachers in the Word Facebook group for devotions.
HOW DOES THE WEEK LAYOUT FOR THE #FRUITED BIBLE STUDY?
You should start the Bible study after watching weekly video that covers the coming week’s content. There are 5 actual study days, one day for scripture memory and rest, and then the study meet-up day each Thursday night beginning June 20th in our Teachers in the Word Facebook Group. Each week we will discuss the previous week’s content on Facebook.
WHAT TIME IS THE JUST JAMES LIVE MEET-UP?
Summer 2019, you will be able to access each weekly video beginning June 7th. All videos will be released and posted on June 7th for you to watch at your convenience. You may use the QR codes in your book to access the teaching videos. We will have weekly #JUSTJAMESLIVE discussion at 9:00 EST on our Teachers in the Word Facebook Page.
I DON’T HAVE FACEBOOK. CAN I STILL JOIN?
Yes, we have several teachers that are planning to join without the Facebook aspect. The only thing you will miss on FB is the social interaction with other teachers. You can watch the teaching videos through YouTube. If you are not following along via Facebook, please make sure you are receiving our emails with Bible study information. We encourage you to get active on Instagram to enjoy the social aspect of the Bible study.
CAN NON-TEACHERS, RETIRED TEACHERS, OR MALE TEACHERS JOIN OR BENEFIT FROM THE STUDY?
While the study was written from the point of view of a kindergarten teacher and a high-school English teacher, we certainly think each one of these groups can benefit from the study. Bonnie actually has some classroom parents that join us every summer. #lovethem
